Antiglan is a combination product in the form of a tablet. The tablets contain saw palmetto berry extract described as 'an endocrine agent, diuretic and urinary antiseptic' together with horsetail 'a genito-urinary astringent', and are said to "hold" the enlargement of the prostate gland and in high doses 'edge it back'. (The PHA have seen no clinical evidence for this), powdered Kava root, 'a diuretic' and Hydrangea extracts. The former three are herbally indicated for infection & inflammation, with the last being a diuretic. In their literature Potters state that these tablets are recommended for men on a waiting list for an operation and regular use should improve their quality of life.
Protat is in the form of a liquid and contains Cornsilk (which has a diuretic and stone-dissolving action), and Kava (antimicrobial, sedative and spasm-breaking), both herbally indicated for inflammation of the urinary tract & system both in males and females. (Note:- we are not quite sure what spasm-breaking means.) |
