SURGICAL & OUT PATIENT TREATMENTS

Treatments available are:-

 

  • TURP - Transurethral resection (of the) prostate.
  • Open prostectomy - The complete removal of the prostate gland.
  • Bladder neck incision - Cuts in the bladder neck which can sometimes allow a better flow.
  • Stent - A flexible metal tube placed in the narrowed part of the prostate gland.
  • Balloon dilation - A balloon inserted in the urethra and expanded to dilate prostate tissue.
  • Laser - A laser used to cut the tissue.
  • Cryotherapy - A method of freezing the prostate tissue which shrinks following defreezing.
  • TUNA - A radio frequency method of reducing prostate tissue.
  • MICROWAVE - A microwave heat method of reducing prostate tissue.
  • THERMEX - A radio frequency heat method of reducing prostate tissue
  • TURAPY - A radio frequency heat method of reducing prostate tissue
